There’s something about the end of May that feels a little transformational… or maybe cleansing, don’t you think?
Maybe it’s the nearing end of the academic year.
Maybe it’s the exhaustion so many educators are carrying at this point in the year.
Or maybe it’s simply the feeling that something is shifting.
An article popped up on my newsfeed this week from Vogue, which really made me pause and reflect on bringing my Q3 planning (June- August) forward a little earlier than usual.
It spoke about this week’s second Full Moon in May — often associated with reflection, release, and intention-setting. A chance to pause and ask yourself:
What am I carrying that no longer fits the next version of me?
And equally:
What do I want to call into this next chapter of my life?
At The Educator’s Atelier, we speak so much about planning, but true planning isn’t just filling boxes and colour-coding your week. It’s creating a life that feels aligned, intentional and grounded which is why we adore how all of the systems that we have created, come together in that way.
As educators, we are constantly setting goals for everyone else:
- targets for children,
- deadlines for school,
- expectations for teams,
- outcomes for classrooms.
But when was the last time you sat down and set actual goals for yourself?

This week and weekend, instead of overwhelming yourself with pressure, try this instead.
Ask yourself:
- What do I want more of in my life by August?
- What do I need to stop carrying?
- What version of myself am I trying to become?
- What habits genuinely support that version of me?
- What people support that version of me?
- Are there relationships, environments, or patterns I have outgrown?
Tupac once said: "Just because you lost me as a friend doesn't mean you gained me as an enemy. I'm bigger than that. I still wanna see you eat, just not at my table". Maybe this is also a moment to reflect on the people you surround yourself with.
You do not need to reinvent your entire life overnight. You just need to begin.
Sometimes the most powerful reset is:
- waking up earlier,
- going for the walk,
- applying for the opportunity,
- resting without guilt,
- setting a boundary,
- finally believing your dreams are allowed to take up space.
This week, let’s use this moment as an opportunity to release limiting beliefs, stagnant patterns, and the versions of ourselves that no longer align with where we are trying to go.
1. Space Clearing & Cleansing
Before setting intentions, clear your physical space.
Do a spring clean. Donate clothes you no longer wear. Tidy the cupboards you’ve been avoiding.
Less clutter. Less hoarding.
A tidy space truly can create a clearer mind.
2. Review & Reflect
Look back at the goals you set at the beginning of the year.
Ask yourself:
- Are these goals still aligned?
- Were they realistic?
- Were they meaningful?
- Or were they simply “tick-box” goals you thought you should have?
We’re approaching the second half of 2026.
Let’s make it count.
3. Write and Release
Write down:
- the habits,
- beliefs,
- fears,
- or patterns
that you want to let go of.
Then safely tear it up or burn it as a symbolic act of release and surrender.
4. Deep Goal Setting
Instead of focusing on twenty different things, focus on one core goal. One thing that would genuinely move your life forward. Ground it in intention, consistency, and clarity.
5. Values
What are your values for the next month? What areas of your life have been neglected so far in 2026? Health? Creativity? Relationships? Rest? Confidence? Joy?
Your goals should reflect the life you actually want to live — not just the one that looks productive on paper.

The Educator’s Atelier Daily Planner was designed not only to organise your life professionally and personally, but to help you reconnect with yourself underneath it all.
Your next chapter deserves more than a notes app.
